Professor Akinwunmi Isola was a popular Nigerian actor, playwright and as well scholar. He died peacefully in his home town, Ibadan, Oyo State on the 17th of February at the age of 78.

2. Zainab Nielsen

Zainab Nielsen was a Nigerian singer well known as Alizee. She was allegedly murdered with her 4-year old daughter by her husband Peter Nielsen in Banana Island, Lagos on the 5th of April at the age of 29.

3. Aisha Abimbola

Many knew Aisha Abimbola better as 'Omoge Campus', she was a popular Nigerian nollywood actress. Aisha Abimbola died at the age of 42 in a Canadian Hospital on the 16th of May. She died of cancer.

4. Ras Kimono

Nigerian music industry lost raggae singer Ras Kimono on the 10th of June at the age of 60. Ras Kimono who was born in Asaba, Delta State died in Lagos State.

Nigerian nollywood producer and actor Bambino Anachina died after a long battle with an undisclosed illness on the 16th of June. Fidelis Ducker broke the sad news via his Facebook timeline to pay tribute to his late colleague.

Chike Osuji was a popular, actor in Nigerian movie industry. The nollywood industry lost Chike Osuji on the 14th of August at the age of 65. He died of Heart attack in owerri, his home town.

Uduak  was an actress, singer, songwriter and event planner from Akwa- Ibom State. The nollywood actress featured in films like 'Bafana Bafana',' Emotional Crack' and 'Too Late'. She died on the 25th of August. She died from complications arising from bathroom fall.

Oluwatosin Bucknor was popularly known as Tosyn Bucknor ,some call her 'The Area Boss'. She was a Nigerian Media personality, actress and social media creator. She died of sickle cell complications on the 19th of November. She was aged 37.
